Image Style that Makes You the Focus
I utilize creative angles and interesting crops to give my portraits a fresh and engaging perspective that showcases your individuality and your presence. I use a careful balance of light that incorporates both artificial and natural light for an image that is polished but approachable. I lean towards neutral lighting and background palette within my work, which creates a more timeless look and feel to the image. The light I use is intentional, but with a desire to create a warm, inviting space where a sense of confidence is seen without feeling unapproachable.
While some photographers tend to focus on directing and posing the individual they are capturing, I focus more on both making them feel relaxed and being themselves. This allows some of their personality to be reflected in their portrait. After all, these images are meant to tell the viewers who you are.
Retouching with Authenticity in Mind
My photo retouching style is primarily influenced by a minimalistic and authenticity-driven approach. I create purely subtle changes that are a reflection of the subject's reality. I strive to enhance tone and clarity, but not to the extent that it will make the subject digital, unrealistic, or obviously modified looking after editing. In my portraits, I want the subject to look valuable and authentic, while also feeling polished. I want to project your individuality, who you really are, and highlight your character and uniqueness in a highly refined, but naturally authentic way.
